Mark Story

Chief Executive Officer

As CEO of K-64, Mark Story is responsible for directing and ensuring the financial sustainability of the K-64 initiative. He collaborates with all stakeholders to build a bridge between the classroom and the 21st century workplace. Recognized as an authority on digital transformation and workplace readiness, Mark strives to make K-64 the community model for workforce talent development.

A serial tech geek, Mark started coding and working with technologies in the late 1980s. In 1995, he developed the ArgisPOS point-of-sale system providing retail and hospitality systems worldwide. His products provided cash management and loss prevention solutions for local and national organization including Goodwill Industries, Marriott, and more.

A supporter of education, Mark is proud to have served as a classroom teacher at the high school and collegiate levels. Serving as Career Technical Education Director for Catawba County Schools, Mark supported his CTE team on their journey to becoming one of the best programs in the state of North Carolina.
